UPDATE

The links below are a bit outdated. My current bookmarks are on del.icio.us. My account is http://del.icio.us/kristinsf. There you can see what I have been looking at / reading lately. Mostly about web site design and development.

The old stuff

This page represents my attempt to list all of my "bookmarks" in a way that benefits others (my students & other developers) as well as keeping track of them myself. That said, this list is loose, and many ideas here overlap. CSS, design, development - they are all related, and really everything could fall under "developer sites". Soooo, if you can't find what you are looking for, keep looking, or drop me a note and I'll try help you to locate what you need.

I found a really helpful article on sending HTML email on the Adobe site at http://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/htmlemail.htm

Some things I have found out on my own:
    • Eudora on the Mac is no good for sending or receiving HTML email.
    • Background colors do not work consistently
    • anchor links within HTML emails are problematic
    • all links to files, pages & images need to be ABSOLUTE (contain the whole path: http://www.domainname.com/images/image.gif
    • it is good to make an HTML page that you post online so that people who have trouble viewing the HTML page in their browser can find a webpage with the content
